Re: Zach Mettenberger

He'd probably stand a good chance with Payton as his QB.

McGowin is light years beyond Mettenburger and they arent going to give up on Grayson after one year. I think they are happy with what they have. Im sure if hes really that much of an improvement they will consider it. I just dont see Mettenburger as much more than a journeyman. He is definitely not the guy to take Drews place. He wasnt even all that good considering who he had to throw to. He had a lot of help. Just because he did better than a lot of crappy QBs who have been through LSU doesnt mean hes going to be any good in the pros.

I'm not talking Tennessee. I'm talking LSU. That's the team I follow in college. Couldn't stand Zach. One of the many QB's from LSU I'm not high on. He's Matt Flynn 2.0. He should have put up stellar numbers with OBJ and Landry.

3100 yards and 22 tds is huge numbers on a team that ran the ball 65% of the the time in 2013. If he had the 2011 defense we would of considered that LSU team one of the best ever.

Re: Zach Mettenberger

He looked like he had pro-potential to me when I saw him.

I wonder what he's struggling with?

My guess would be the lack of talent on the Tenn offense. They were trash. When you #1 option was Bishop Shankey you don't have much of a chance.
