I\'m gonna wade in.

Moon - I agree, underrate historically.
Archie - c\'mon, that\'s not even a question. :)
Aikman - would have gone down as an all-time great without the injuries.
Favre - Vick has a lot to prove, and Favre is magic.

The hardest one, to me, is Young v. Montana.

The easy choice is Montana, but when I think about it, I\'ve got to say Steve Young is the better QB.

Until Peyton broke the record last season, Young held the all-time single-year efficiency rating record. Young had better physical tools than Montana and was/is smarter. Montana was made a hero b/c of \"the catch\" and b/c he was in the right place at the right time for the Bill Walsh West Coast Offense. Don\'t get me wrong, Montana is an all-time great. But if I had to build a team from scratch right now and I had to choose between Young and Montana both in their prime, I\'d take Young. :o

Montana: 16 yrs, 40,551 yards, 7.52 YPA, 63.24% Comp. %, 273 TD:139 INT, 92.3 QB Rating

Young: 15 yrs, 33,124 Yards, 7.98 YPA, 64.3% Comp. %, 232 TD:107 INT, 96.8 QB Rating

Also, in his prime, Young was unstoppable, and consistent. From 1987 - 1998, Young had only ONE year with a QB rating under 90. His numbers were 120.8, 72.2 (he started only 3 games that year), 120.8, 92.6, 101.8, 107, 101.5, 112.8, 92.3, 97.2, 104.7, 101.1.

Montana, on the other hand, seemed to teeter back and forth between greatness and AB type numbers. From 1982-1993 Montana went up, down, up, down, like so: 88, 94.6, 102.9, 91.3, 80.7, 102.1, 87.9, 112.4, 89, injured-no stats, 118.4, 87.4.

These are much tougher to pick -- but here goes

Culpepper ===favre, kelly and peyton

Culpepper is still growing -- has an awesome arm and is farily start -- bart starr was a brilliant tactician but I believe he benefited from the system -- rarely had to carry a team on his back -- kelly for sure -- and peyton ===

Culpepper will be better when it is all said and done, but he\'s not yet.

Favre

Kelly - c\'mon.

Push. I can\'t call that one.

Agree with the Culpepper == but Bledsoe over Kelly -- sorry Kelly went (and lost) 4 superbowls --- had a good arm etc etc. In their prime I would rather Kelly than Beldsoe --
