Observations from today's dramatic OT win over the FailClowns

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'll tell you another observation, our DB's actually look lost. That's a coaching problem. But they seriously look lost out there. No one seems to know who should be covering who....

True. On more than a few plays I saw them looking at each other clearly confused as to who should be covering who. Couple that with an inconsistent pass rush - one that completely vanishes all too often - and we have a big problem on defense.

And some of it is correctable, you know the being confused. I expect Dave port to help the rush as the year goes on, but the pack of push from our DT's is nothing to get excited about.

I learned this today...
From
@ESPNStatsInfo
: Only 2 quarterbacks have lost despite throwing for 350+ yards, 5 TD and 0 Int in the last 30 years: Eli Manning and Matt Ryan.

Both lost to Drew Brees.

In 3 games played, I haven’t seen one DB track the ball on these long throws. On the PI call, we had 2 guys covering 1 guy, and neither had any idea where the ball was.
