Not sure why Crawley is inactive. Corners and Kickers usually have fragile ego's and it seems to me like Payton and/or Allen have handled him incorrectly all year long.

Crawley is inactive because he has handled his position poorly seemly lost in coverage. Could be because of Allen’s scheme but others have played better. Example Hardy was not perfect but to me he played faster and more instinctual when he was in coverage. Best 4 play ... the way it should be.

We will see how Apple goes TODAY

Re: Saints vs Vikings Game Day Thread

This from Ian Rappoport makes sense:
#Saints starting CB Ken Crawley will be inactive for the game against the #Vikings, sources say. That means new acquisition Eli Apple will start. With Crawley only playing on the outside and not on special teams, this is the only option. Apple gets to play right away.
Nick Underhill also said that since Crawley doesn’t play on special teams the Saints had no choice but to make him inactive.

He’s become a locker room cancer and the coaches have lost all faith in him.
