Should we put Drew on IR if teddy and Hill take care of business . Giving him a full 8 weeks of recovery.

Hey dan just ready the paper and the headline reads Payton said saints do not have plans to put Brees on IR just yet. The yet I don’t get.

Kind of in a sticky spot. I suppose we cannot put him on the IR retroactively like they do in the MLB?

Never believe headlines. They have no bearing on what any article truly contains. I was in the newspaper business and it's usually some flunky that lays the paper out (or posts the article online) that comes up with the headline ... usually without reading the article in its entirety.

Since the surgery apparently went well Drew should be back before eight weeks and there is no need for putting him on IR. When we need to make roster cuts it's fringe players that will go, like Stallworth, and if it's possible sneak them onto the practice squad.

And yet most people in social media comment on the headline only, failing to read an article in full, educating themselves to all the information contained therein...
