I am so freaking tired of hearing the national and even local media (Jeff Duncan for instance) telling us not to blame Goodell, that it's all the Saints' fault, that we fans basically know nothing and we're just a bunch of dopes who like to hear ourselves talk.

Sure, the Saints are responsible for whatever action, or inaction, that took place in this scandal. Nobody in their right mind would deny that. But what these superiorly intelligent people fail to realize is that we aren't just upset about punishments, but rather the ridiculous severity of them, and more importantly, the ignorance of Goodell to what is clearly a league wide issue.

He isn't blind to it, he can't be. Players all over the league are admitting to various bounty pools. And though many of these players claim they just reward each other for big plays, nevertheless that is also supposed to be against NFL rules. Yet despite these admissions, he hasn't even so much as farted in any other teams general direction.... This suggests that he isn't trying to stop bounties, he's attempting to destroy a franchise he despises because they have been outwardly defiant against him.

Maybe that was irresponsible of the Saints. But my question is this: Why aren't other teams being investigated? If players around the league are saying bounties exist everywhere, but none of their coaches are saying anything... Doesn't that mean that the Saints aren't the only team who has supposedly been dishonest? Goodell is a child. He reacts with emotions instead of careful deliberation as a commissioner should. He felt disrespected and threw a temper tantrum. I bet if he would ask the same questions to any other team he would get the same result.

It's obvious, however, that we'll never see that happen because it's easy to point the finger at one team and pretend you've solved the problem. To dig up the whole truth of the NFL, in Goodell's mind, would cause far more damage than he's prepared to deal with. Make no mistake, he is only concerned with his image, not player safety.

Don't try to tell us we don't understand. We understand clearly, and have the balls to call Goodell on his BS, whereas most of the media would rather take his word for it, rip the Saints, and move on as if there is nothing more behind it. Sean Payton is now gone for the year because of what he didn't do, and Bill Belichick got fined a couple rolls of toilet paper for what he did do.

Tell me I'm "overreacting", tell me I "don't know all the details", call me a "homer"... You can say whatever you want about protecting the integrity of the game, and I'm all for that part of it. But the facts speak for themselves when you compare the punishments. If you're truly about justice and integrity, you can't just make an example of one team. You have to punish every crime, and you must be consistent in how you handle every situation.

Dictator Goodell's glaring inconsistencies over the course of his tenure prove that he, himself, has no real sense of integrity. I rest my case.

I knew the NFL commissioner was against us when the NFL changed the playoff overtime rule after we beat Minnesota in overtime to go to our first Super Bowl

Well said, this is just Goodell's opportunity to cover the league's behind in the upcoming 'safety' lawsuits, nothing more. I said it once, I'll say it again ... the only thing the Saints did differently then any other team in the league was they used the terms, "cart-off" and "knock-out" in regards to their player pools.
