Week 7 Saints vs Browns
It’s week 7 of the 2010 NFL season and the New Orleans Saints are 4-2. Last week’s impressive win against division foes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a nice change of pace for the Super Bowl Champions. Tampa Bay’s run defense which is ranked near the bottom of the league faltered early during the game. The Saints finally unleashed their rookie sensation running back Chris Ivory, a.k.a. “The Beast.” Ivory led the NFL week 6 in yards rushing with 158 yards. Drew Brees redeemed himself this week with 263 yds passing/ 3 TDs.
This week’s matchup with the Cleveland Browns looks to be an even greater matchup with the Saints running attack. I am favoring Chris Ivory this week. I believe Ivory will get the bulk of the carries while Ladell Betts takes a back seat especially with the new edition Julius Jones. Drew Brees and the Saints' passing attack seem to have woken from hibernation and I look for Marques Colston to finally get into the end zone this week as well against a mediocre Cleveland Brown secondary.
