RAW A tremendous athlete and defends both the run and pass at a high level. He went to Wisconsin projected as a monster tight end, but switched to defense and made a name for himself at inside and outside linebacker. Quick off the snap and using his hands to good effect, He will attack blockers using his excellent length by using a technique known as push-pull, which upsets the balance of the opponent. Watt also is decisive and quick when it comes to closing the lanes for running backs, and he always tackles well. He’s always searching for the ball. Win with technique, rather than athleticism. Roll of the dice on a player in his first full season as a starter posted 11.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss in 2016, Could he be the answer to DE issue? This is what I love about players not married to one postion. IMO TJ is made for the big money position of DE racking up sacks and TFF. Huge dividin is his ability to drop into coverage from his DE position.

Will the Saints buck history? So far no bad news about all those team meetings and a team like the Bengals may take him in round2.

Looks the part of a professional athlete with a muscle-packed frame, including well-built arms, knotted calves and a powerful lower half. Possesses terrific initial quickness and lateral agility for a player of his size, eluding defenders in close quarters with side-steps and jump-cuts and zipping through holes with instant acceleration and the speed to score from any point on the field. Mixon is a natural with the ball in his hands, showing excellent anticipation, vision and patience to set up his blocks as a running back and returner. He is more powerful than his tall frame might imply, lowering his shoulders into would-be tacklers and showing good leg drive, forward lean and determination to finish runs. He is stronger than he looks, showing good balance to absorb hits and keep his feet churning through contact. Mixon is a legitimate weapon as a receiver, showing above average hand-eye coordination to secure the ball without losing speed and is an accomplished route-runner, showing the agility and speed to create separation. We all know his back story and the last question is simple, Will Benson let it happen? Rumor has it the answer is yes.

Mr versatility A premier Swiss army knife weapon.

Might just be one of the best CB if he was not so short. But versatility is the reason for this pick. CB, WR and most importantly as a returner and gunner . Do not sell his coverage skills short. He has become a serious cover-corner prospect that is solid in run support. Returned two kickoffs and two punts for touchdowns. He can match up with Desaen Jackson type of WR.

Saints add a CB that matches up well with the big WR/TE in the draft and test his ability to play FS?

The best physical CB in the country? physicality, tough, size, length and instincts. He is technician. Wilson may lack elite speed like other corner backs in this class, but he makes up for it with his great athleticism and uses his size to get receivers off of their timing at the line of scrimmage in press coverage. He can feast on the bigger NFC South WR. Gotta avoid miss matches with small WR

One year of coaching to put all the traits together. strength, length, minimal body fat despite his size, aggressiveness, nasty, mean edge. unique traits and twitchy athleticism. wants to finish blocks and play to the whistle, productivity in the run/pass game, a good kick step and mobility/balance. valuable option at left or right tackle. interesting back story

DA reaches go for yet another athletic freak?
DA reaches go for yet another athletic freak?
RAW but potential is sky high. Rare athlete in terms of athleticism and quickness especially for a guy so big. Has value at both safety and all three corner back positions. A strong safety-turned-corner that may have the skill set to be groomed for FS. A potential press cornerback.has the height, length and speed that translates well to the next level. For his length, he has good movement skills which include the ability to flip his hips. King is an aggressive player and doesn’t hesitate to support the run. Excellent open field tackler. Smaller and shiftier receivers always tend to give longer corner backs some issues. So he is a specialty nickle CB right now to handle match ups of equal size. Kelvin Benjamin, Greg Olsen, Devin Funchess, Luke Stocker, Vincent Jackson, Mike Evans and Mohamed Sanu all come to mind. "like the upside"
Tre'Davious White, CB, LSU 5111 191 4.48 Jr
Will the saints over look tackling skill for coverage?
Will the saints over look tackling skill for coverage?
one of the best CB in a very deep CB class? White struggled to defend against big receivers. better at defending speed receivers and route-runners where he can use his quickness and athletic ability. We all know him all to well

I really had a problem taking Mixon. We went through all that BS with Junior Galette and I think it's counter productive to make that same mistake again.
If we had completed the setup to a 3-4 defense last year, how nice would it be to add T.J. Watt this season; this back and forth, waffling on defensive fronts has been the biggest handicap to winning another championship.
Adoree Jackson went in the first round as it seemed he would; I wouldn't spend more on him than a late second, early third as he'll never be a front line CB.
Liked Ramcyzk over Bolles from the time draft discussion started.
Not at all sold on Kevin King.
Tre White is a Tracy Porter clone; which means someone will reach on him and find he won't tackle and not re-sign him when his rookie contract comes due...Posted 04-30-2017 at 08:06 PM by jeanpierre
