I have never liked Hebert but he was right to ask that. I watched Jefferson last night {I have never liked him either}with his deer in the head light look, and a few of my friends told me I have been right about him the entire time{ he's not a qb. at all}.Lee should have had an opportunity to step in a try to do at least something, it could'nt have been any worse thats for sure. Bama did not respect the deep ball last night because they knew Jefferson is not accurate for 1 and 2 can't throw deep.

I think the 7 int Lee thrown in previous meeting with 'Bama played into Lee not playing

Although I love Bobby for calling him out, this was the biggest factor. Lee already proved he was ineffective against Bama. Wouldn't have mattered anyway.

The difference is they game planned solely to stop Jefferson and the option... which was supposedly Bama's Achilles heel. It was obvious we needed to take more shots down field and run our traditional pro style offense we've been running. Whether or not Lee would have been effective or not, we'll never know. What we do know is that we needed a spark and make more plays down field... something Lee is better at. There was nothing to lose by making the change.

Just because Lee was ineffective against Bama the first time around didn't mean he would fail the second time around. Look what happened to Jefferson.

Jefferson couldn't do a thing. You still give Lee a shot.

I think the question needed to be asked. Regardless, congrats to Bama, they were the better team. LSU's offense was not prepared for them.

Congrats to Bama. Congrat to you to Bobby, for asking the question. Jefferson is not a Quarterback.

As right as Bobby is, his son was a part of an offensive line that gave up on their quarterback. That's something you should never do regardless of your whiny their quarterback was. It was a whole group effort of fail sauce.

Well, let me re-phrase that. I don't feel like the defense ever gave up. They limited them to 5 fg's before that 4th quarter Richardson rumble. We should have opened it up when we finally got the crowd into with the block field goal. It would have given them some energy to feed off of.
