Sandusky committed a heinous crime, and was rightfully (finally) convicted ... the clowns running the NCAA apparently don't know what to do with that!
I find the NCAA really doesn't do anything at all besides screwing with the eligibility of players who try to leave schools they don't fit-it. If a school self-sanctions itself, the NCAA pretty much gives a rubber stamp.
As far as leagues, playoffs, tournaments, games... those are all organized mostly by the respective leagues and/or committees like bowl committees or BCS.
You ask yourself WTF do they do???
