vUConn fires football coach Paul Pasqualoni
Connecticut's diminishing results under former coach Paul Pasqualoni were behind the university's decision to make an early coaching change, firing the third-year coach after an 0-4 start to the 2013 season, UConn athletic director Warde Manuel said at a news conference Monday.
Manuel was impressed by the Huskies' close loss to Michigan on Sept. 21, a game the Huskies led in the fourth quarter before losing by a field goal.
