FREE - Internet TV
I've been using my computer hooked up to my HDTV. It's amazing what you can find out the to watch for free. It seems that MegaVideo has about 70% of the stuff that was ever created... and it's free
I've watched... Curb Your Enthusiasm - All Seasons Original Star Trek - All Seasons Showtime The Tudors - All Seasons Mythbusters - All Seasons Ancient Aliens - All Seasons Just to name a few. I haven't seen every episode, they're all there. Plus the have movies in HD. It's very hard to find out what MegaVideo has in it's vast file system and you have to use other search engines to dig them out. Question: Is anybody else using FREE internet TV and what do you find works best for you? www.TVDuck.com www.VideoSurf.com www.tv-links.eu |

Dont laugh, but I just discovered Hulu. I'm not sure what they are, or whats in it for them, but I've been watching Hill Street Blues --- the GREATEST show in the history of television, and the only cop show that doesnt decrease your IQ when you watch.
I dont know how they make money, with just 3 commercial breaks, but I enjoy the hell out of seeing my old show, and Im surprised how many details I remember distinctly from 30 years ago. Otherwise, Im too busy to do too much on the net these days. |

They make money by just providing the bandwidth and not having to make the TV shows. |

I still dont understand what bandwith is, but apparently, it is something that can be wasted, like when my friends send me fwd: emails with "funny" stuff.

There are 2 types of bandwidth.
1st - If you want a fast connection, you will need to move more data faster. This will take more bandwidth to accomplish. Think of it as sitting on the side of the Mississippi River trying to drink water with a coffee straw. You won't get much until you get a bigger straw. Bandwidth is the straw. 2nd - Bandwidth can be measured in the amount of data and how fast your website sends it to users. This is usually measured in dollars per GB. Halo could explain it better. Some people use it more wisely then others. |

So bandwith is something that goes out from the site?
Is it a measurement of capacity? If bandwith is the straw, what does the mississippi river represent? |
