Regardless of who is nominated, the full force of the Repubs will be behind the candidate whomever he/she is. Obama is unpopular right now in very strange way. Debate or no debate, if you put almost anyone against Obama in swing state polling, whoever they are is neck and neck with Barak. Every incumbant loses traction after being in office for 2 to 3 years because of positions they must take on either side of issues which polarizes popularity. But an incumbent with numbers this low in head to head matches is bad news for the Obama team.
Obama has an up-hill battle to re-election and he can do it, but he can just as easily be a 1 and done president. |
