The Law That Never Was
I remind you all this is neither a liberal nor a conservative-leaning post. I'm posting this because I don't think the average American knows a whole hell of a lot about the Constitution. The abuse of welfare programs is maddening to me, and they are abused across the board. This is OUR money being pissed away, and there is a very legitimate case for the fact that the Government is, in essence stealing this money from us. We're paying for it.
The Law That Never Was: The Fraud of Income & Social Security Tax — Home It was the 16th amendment that gave big brother the right to tax our income. Prior to that it was against the law. Progressives at the turn of the 20th century sneaked the 16th amendment through, ratifying it without following (in fact ignoring) the very difficult process the founders purposefully put in place. It is past time for American citizens to take our country back from the Career politician. Our Constitution requires it of us. The hippies played a role in bringing our men and women home from the farce that was Vietnam. They were my parent's generation. Before that, my Grandparent's generation fought WWII (and won). What will WE do? We are allowing the likes of Obama, Romney, Bush, Clinton, and many before them to bastardize our Constitution, and we are failing miserably at our duty to defend it from these career-minded politicians who are playing poker with our cash. Are you with me? Spread the word. Learn the Civics our school system (purposefully) never taught you. Teach it to your neighbors and to your children. DO something, because it will soon be too late. |
C'mon Man...

Re: The Law That Never Was
Its why I vote conservative in all primaries and Republican over Democrat
We didn't get here overnight and its gonna take numerous cycles to boot progressives out of power at every level of Government and replace RINO's with real Conservatives. |

Re: The Law That Never Was
If the "conservatives" you speak of were truly conservative, I would agree with you. But, the current Republican party is not and has not been conservative for a LONG time. They have been just as fiscally irresponsible as the Democrats. BOTH parties are to blame for our nations current situation. The Republican VP candidate Ryan is touted as the poster boy in the party for conservatism. Like most in politics, he's a hypocrite and a liar. He voted for the Patriot act, which not only expands the role of the federal government, but it came with a hefty price tag as well. He voted for the stimulus plan under Bush. He voted for every increase in deficit spending under Bush which included TARP and "the bridge to nowhere" while approving every budget of Bush's. NOW, with a Democrat in office, the spending is wrong. He voted against President Obama's stimulus plan but was first in line making requests for the money. Do you get my point? You CHOOSE to vote for people CLAIMING to be conservative, and then turn a COMPLETE blind eye to their actions. That's just how they like it. I vote for Democrats because I see them as the lesser of the two evils. Not because I see them as the gospel like you see the Republicans. The Democrats usually error on the side of people. The Republicans serve the 1% and their profits. Easy choice for me. I do wish I had more and better to choose from.

Think that's bad... check this out...
Missing 13th Amendment To The United States Constitution By The Pen Reprinted from the Oregon Observer for April 1997 with permission In 1983 David Dodge and Tom Dunn were searching for evidence of government corruption in public records in a Belfast Library on the coast of Maine. They uncovered probably the most explosive evidence ever uncovered in our history. They uncovered the United States Constitution printed in 1825, which was to prohibit lawyers from serving in Government. Extensive research since then has uncovered the following: 1.) The unlawful removal of a ratified 13th Amendment from the US Constitution. 2.) The Amendment had been printed in at least 18 separate publications by 11 different states and territories from 1819 to 1868. 3.) The Amendment was secretly removed from documents by a group of lawyers and bankers. In its place was entered the slave Amendment, which was the 14th amendment, which was changed to the 13th Amendment. All of this occurred during the turmoil of the civil war. 4.) Since the Amendment was not lawfully repealed, it is still the law of the land. 5.) Colorado printed the correct 13th Amendment in 1668. [This probably should read 1868.] The following is why the Amendment was written and what the meaning is: (Keep in mind we had just fought the Revolutionary War.) The "title of nobility" and words such as "nobility," "honour," "emperor," "king," "esquire" and "prince" normally would lead you, today, to dismiss this Amendment. Just Read More |

Or the 17th amendment which stole even more power from the States, power the Constitution cedes to the States.
I ask you all, again, what will YOU do? It's time. America is on the edge of a cliff, and the wind is blowing in a dangerous direction. |

Boy you completely missed my point entirely.
And you're pointing out how bad conservatism is by pointing out a few instances that are NOT conservative. You're making no sense whatsoever. For a Democrat to complain about Republican spending is foolish.
