I thought she did a much better job then Demi Lovato in Game #4, as did most Detroiters ... we like our National Anthem traditional, without 'artist interpretation' when possible,

Deschanel, the star of Fox's "New Girl," who performed Saturday, pretty much played it straight-forward. It even appears she wore a similar outfit the one she wore last year when she performed the "Star Spangled Banner" at the World Series.

Lovato, "The X Factor" judge and singer, however, really changed it up, adding more vocal runs and using more dramatic pauses. She performed Sunday night. And she performed at the Word Series last year, too.

Both did a decent job, but I favor Deschanel's version.
