The article is accurate in stating that there is little crime in terms of murder or shootings in France. But robberies are insanely sky high. My dad's home's front door in Paris resembles that of a bank vault with a five point locking system with a 3D key. His country home has been burglarized more times than we all have fingers on our hands.

If anyone is looking (waiting) for a high quality, mid-range, varmint gun with a low cost of ownership, your wait appears to be almost over. Considering that Volquartsen's 17 HMR can produce 1/2" groupings at 100 yds, I would expect the 17 WSM to do the same at 200 yds +.

17 HMR, one of the very few rounds that didn't completely vanish from the shelves at the beginning of the year.

Took my wife to the range today and managed the ever so difficult muzzle flash picture with an iPhone.

Awesome dude, I went to the range and had a really tight grouping, but slightly left of center.

It wasn't until later I discovered I was placing the trigger in the crease of my index finger instead of just above the crease. I forgot what he told me the term was but I did have a nice grouping though, especially for a noobie.

****provided your pistol shoots a zero.
Left and down has a lot to do with you squeezing your entire hand instead of trigger finger at the second knuckle.

Hold your empty pistol after clearing it and slightly squeeze and notice which direction the muzzle moves.

My wife is left/lower left also. Nerves also has a lot to do with it.

What are you shooting? Revolver? Semi-auto ? Single or double action?

This may help with your trigger squeeze.

Danno, I noticed that that you are shooting silhouettes in the horizontal position. Are you planning on shooting someone in their sleep?

For those who are looking for or not sure of what CLP (Cleaner, Lubricant, Protect-ant) to use, I am an avid Froglube user.. I love it because not only is it more of a wax than an oil and does not accumulate carbon or dust and dirt but it is also environmentally safe, biodegradable, and You could eat it... It is also not a solvent so it will not damage your finish on either the metal or wood.

For those new to ARs and are having trouble getting carbon off the BCG (Bolt carrier group) and dont want to sit and scrape.. A Dremel and a brass wheel world like a charm. ONLY brass, Not Steel.

Watch these videos and decide for your self:

"Third Herd", ... yeah, I got mad for some reason or another a few years back and put a few manuals like that I wish I woulda' kept online for sale ... managed to keep these though, :) ... good thing too, I forgot how hard it was for people (especially lieutenants,) to grasp the "clear, front sight tip" concept and these manuals cover it pretty well ... those were the days, <sigh>.

Yes, but the point is that you focus on the front-sight post tip and not downrange at the target. Once you have that 'clear, front-sight post tip', you adjust on target while maintaining it. It's a simple concept, yet hard to explain without a picture like that, but you can always tell when a shooter finally gets it.
