Well .308 isn't so strange as a caliber, its just the type of gun that would make people over here raise an eyebrow. The .308, 7.62×51mm NATO and the .30-06 Springfield are all quite alike and the most used calibers for hunting in Sweden. The main prey being moose needing something quite powerful. Hunting rifles are basically the only rifles over here with the exception of collectors and sport shooter, and of course military/law enforcement. The 9.3×62 Mauser is also quite popular.

I don't quite have enough to defend the Alamo, but a little more than I need to defend my swimming pool and BBQ pit.
![]() I've sold a few lately, the only redundant calibers I have are 12Ga and 20Ga.... Those are redundant because I have one 12Ga for hunting and the others along with my 16Ga are Winchester and Remington collectors I inherited from my father. |
