'America's Most Wanted' canceled by Lifetime

"America's Most Wanted" is no longer wanted by Lifetime.

The network, which picked up the long-running series in 2011 after it was canceled by FOX, has declined to renew the series for another season.

Bing: 'Judge Joe Brown' to end its run

The series, which has been hosted by John Walsh since 1988 and has led to the capture of more than 1,000 criminals during its run, began on Lifetime with its 25th season premiere in December 2011, and it received an order for 20 more episodes last March.

While "America's Most Wanted" isn't being renewed by Lifetime, the network is developing an investigative pilot with Walsh.
