In today's world of legislation and regulation by litigation, the construction of dams would be tied up in court for decades. Consider that the act of REPLACING a major bridge in the same location can take over 10 years to complete due to law suits, environmental impact statements, hearings, protests, etc.
Funny how you never hear liberals and activists mention this when they whine about our crumbling infrastructure... |
