Yeager's accomplishments as a pilot were amazing. To do what he did and live to 97 borders on miraculous.

Today's accomplishments in aeronautics and space exploration only happen because this and future generations have the privilege of "standing on the shoulders of giants." Yeager and those that flew with him don't get near enough recognition. |
