The 'face of the NHL' is coming back boys, just in time for the playoffs. Will it lift the Penguins or put a monkey-wrench in the chemistry they've seem to have found as of late? I suppose he'll do alright until Pittsburgh plays someone like the Senators or another hard-hitting team. He's had too many concussions, IMO.

That was a smart move by the Penguins, they got the big left-winger they were looking for and still filled Goligosky's spot with Niskanen. Playing next to Crosby should improve Neil's game too. They're getting ready to make a run ...

Well, he made it through the game without being concussed and even got a few assists ... the first one on Neil's goal.

Agreed, on all points. Regardless of what fans may think about Sid, they have to admit he can play the game. RedWing fans hate Crosby with a passion, but they'd love to see him on the team. Watching him, for me, is going to be a lot like watching Peyton Manning ... hoping that big, career-ending hit never comes ...

I am amazed that people still label him a whiner and cry-baby. Yes, when he was 18 he might have complained too much, but you don't see it now. Plus, he was an 18 year old with a 'C' on his sweater---isn't playing the refs part of the job?

I've been watching Sid since his high school/junior days ... he was a prima-donna at that age, but never a whiner. The jump to the NHL at such a young age and assuming the role of Captain at the pro level was a huge adjustment for him. I remember people not liking Gretzky because of his skill, but not to the exent they dislike Crosby. He's matured a lot and I give him his props ... I'd like to see him wearing the 'winged-wheel' one day, but he'll leave the game a Penguin.
