Players and Owners to extend deadline?
An extension of the talks toward a new collective bargaining agreement between NFL owners and the players' union is "definitely a possibility," two sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen and ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The owners made a significant enough proposal to the players Thursday which may be enough to "stop the clock" and continue negotiations on a new CBA that would delay a work stoppage, sources said. The union is awaiting answers on some core issues to determine whether there will be an agreement to extend negotiations beyond the midnight deadline. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6177293 |
