Tough time to be an NFL head coach!
NFL Network just said that 11 coaches were hired in 2011, and only 3 still have a job: Rex Ryan, Jim Schwarz & Caldwell.

Yes, it seems it is do or die. Win that SB or be fired.
Do owners give the coaches enough time? Some do and some don't. Don't forget, GM's, etc. are going out too. Ask Colts' Polians-father & son duo. Gone today. Fired! |

A team needs to have a winning record/make the playoffs for a head coach to keep his job.
Most owners understand it takes years, if ever, for a team to get TO, a Super Bowl; look at the Saints for example. |
