You can't put him up there with the money QB's (and by money I don't mean salary) so why even bother? Why even mention "top 10"? Out of 32 starting QBs? That's not even a compliment. Top 5? Ok, that would be a compliment, but I am sure, had the OC made that comment, the laughter heard around the league would've been much louder... pretty sure Ryan himself would've LOL'd.
Matt Ryan finished 5th in ESPN's total QBR rating last year.

Well, good for you! You dug up a stat!
Then again, there is the "other" stat, the passer rating stat, on the same ESPN website, that has no Matt Ryan anywhere between 1 and 5.

2011 NFL Statistics - National Football League - ESPN
NFL Total Quarterback Rating - National Football League - ESPN

I guess you can pick and choose which stat you want to use, which stat is more valid than the other, which stat makes you feel better, etc etc etc.

The one thing I know is that, in crunch time, neither Brees, nor Brady, nor the Mannings, etc. look at best overwhelmed, at worst scared, like Matty Melt does. And there's no stat for that.

Matt Ryan isn't even the centerpiece of his own offense, for Pete's sake.

Matt Ryan is a solid QB, who has had success in the regular season. Be glad you have one of those... don't believe what Prisco and ESPN tell you.

'Cause the simple man pays the thrills, the bills and the pills that kill

What makes you think he isn't the centerpiece of our offense? If he isn't who is?

Your team mainly the offensive line is built to run behind. Your centerpiece is Michael Turner, you've had success when Turner gets his 100 yards. That's why you went 13-3, 2 years ago... You draft Julio Jones and try to turn into a passing team and look what happened

Not anymore. There's been reports all offseason that the Falcons are going to split his carries in half with our #2 back, JacQuizz Rodgers. He'll be getting 10-20 carries with Quizz. We're going to a pass first offense from now on.
