Bill Belichick thought he was worth signing on a team that already had Brady and Mallett. It's pretty hard to argue that the Saints have better players on their QB depth chart than the Patriots.

I'm telling you Brees is better than Brady, and you dont know crap about Mallett since he has a grand total of 4 attempts and 1 completion in the NFL, I would put Wallace on the field before Mallett.

I would put Wallace and McCowan on the field before Mallett, and just out of spite I would start Griffin before Mallett also.

Wallace couldn't even get a job in the NFL last year. "Just out of spite?" Come on, that's stupid. However, for the sake of argument let's said the backups are even.

But if you really want to say Brees is better than Brady, you need to provide some arguments other than just "because I say so." I don't think anybody in their right mind can honestly claim to believe that and I might be the biggest Drew Brees fan here.

The original point stands regardless. If Tebow did not have talent, he would not have been signed by the Patriots, who are far and away the best and most well-run organization in football over the last 10 years. Period.

Brady = 5 Super Bowl appearances, 3 wins
Brees = 1 appearance, 1 win

Brady = 2 league MVP's
Brees = 0 league MVP's

Statistically, about the same, except Brees throws way more interceptions.


So if you ignore rings, statistics, and overall acheivement, and are a delusional homer, Then sure, you can say Brees is better than Brady.

I hate having to argue against Brees but come on, let's not be stupid. It does not make you less of a Saints fan to respect other teams and let's face it if anybody deserves respect for his career, it's freaking Tom Brady.

First you say statistically even then you offer to ignore statistics. Make up my mind.

Secondly you said the better QB on present depth chart... (is)...that's present tense. Nothing to do with what Brady did in the past unless you want to reference last season as theist recent example.

Presently in the 2013 season I would start Brees over Brady.

Drew Brees 2012: 5177 yards, 63.0%, 43 TD, 19 INT, 96.3 QBR

I don't see how you can qualify Brees as the superior quarterback, either right now or over the course of their respective careers. Any way you look at it - statistically, wins and losses, championships, awards - any way, Brady wins. It's not even really a contest.

Again, it does not make you less of a Saints fan to recognize the accomplishments of others. I'm a reasonable enough person to see the obvious. If you don't want to admit that, it's your problem. Just be aware that you have a really skewed perspective and don't be surprised when you get dismissed by people who know better.
