Re: Chd Johnson sentenced 30 days inJail
If you watch the video the judge led him into thinking it was all over and everything was fine. If this was Drew Brees everybody would be going crazy. Put your dislike to the side for a second and realize that they're putting a guy in jail, not because of domestic violence, but because of a football put on the butt of appreciation. Now if you don't like Chad then you don't like him, but it doesn't change the fact that him being in jail is stupid.

Re: Chd Johnson sentenced 30 days inJail
I just think common courtroom conduct presumes that any party involved is expected to behave in a certain manner while in court. Slapping your attorney on the ass, or any similiar act, would never fall into expected behavior, no matter who it is.
Anyone who has ever been in court knows it's a farse, much like a production, everyone has a part to play in front of the all powerful OZ (judge). IMO |

Re: Chd Johnson sentenced 30 days inJail
I'm not trying to defend Ochocinco because he should know he already has a rep for being obnoxious, but the judge had just got through telling him how thankful he should be to his lawyer that he was getting as sweet of a deal in court as he was.
Would she have sent 85 up the river if he had slapped the lawyer on the back instead or turned and gave him a big hug or a handshake? Just asking... Maybe the baliff and other court staff who where yucking it up need to share the cell with LXXXV for a while... |

Oh, that's what I thought I heard on the news ... regardless, acting like a buffoon in a courtroom isn't going to win you any points with any judge.

being stupid isn't against the law. ochodouchebag is just being himself but crossed the line of legality. comes with the territory. par for the course. you get the idea...
sometimes folks have to pay a price for being themselves. |
