When enough people do illegal things, the government starts to take away the rights of the lawful.

You're not going to eat a pit bull. Killing it isn't wasting anything. I'll never waiver on the fact that he was overly punished for that. He should've did community service or maybe a month or two for the gambling ring. They made an example out of him because people were crying over the dogs.

As far as the cow scenario, if not for it being illegal to just leave it there due to it being a food source, more people would do things like that.
