Well, I was going on and on about the cops this and the cops that and "that cop thinks this is Miami Vice", and on and on, and truthfully I was right. Small town cops with too much "movie cop" in him. But gramps said, "Son, you're right, and let's just assume the cop is exactly as you say. Did you ever stop to think - he's the one with the gun?" LOL. Point taken. It was neither the first nor the last time Gramps has schooled me like that. Now I know, for a fact, that people have negative feelings towards the police, and I even believe in many cases it is justified. STILL, not being a dickweed and doing what they tell you to do is an EXCELLENT way to minimize the damage. |
