Re: Bucs release Josh Freeman
I can't stand greg schiano, but the fact that not one single team was willing to make a trade for josh freeman indicates that there are probably more negative issues surrounding freeman than meet the eye.
Still, freeman will collect $6.1M from the yucs plus whatever he gets paid from any team that picks him up. Who knows, maybe even lawsuit $$ from the yucs or nfl for the leak. |

Re: Bucs release Josh Freeman
I don't think that's the case. Probably more likely that nobody wanted to give up an asset in order to take on a bigger contract. He'll find a backup job easily.

Re: Bucs release Josh Freeman
The boy has all what you want in a qb. Cannon arm, tall, and can scramble a lil bit. Just could never get the mental and consistency part down. I blame the organization for not lighting a fire under his arse. Good organizations can turn slackers into solid players.

New Orleans, New England, New York (football) Giants, San Francisco ... all seem like good places for Freeman to land in order to get the attention he needs, but I think the kid needs to learn to better deal with the ups/downs of an NFL career before he can contribute to a team. Now that I think about it, I actually think Harbaugh (SFran) would do him some good ... Jimmy H. is a known a-hole that would give Freeman all the 'tough-love' he needed to get his head back in the game. Just my opinion. ![]() |

A few more losses and the Falcons are going to have a shake up on their hands as well, maybe not at QB but Smith could be gone. I could totally see him getting fired.

I wish they would have kept him, now they might actually get good.

![]() I love it because dumb moves like this used to be done by the Saints, now we all can point and laugh at teams and organizations that suck |

Re: Bucs release Josh Freeman
Like when we drafted Deuce and he was sitting on the bench the first year. Think they were using him as a kick returner.
