I like Warriors as well. Those colors look too much like the Chiefs though. How about the Washington Griffins? :D

I've been to war numerous times and am therefore offended by the term "Warrior". I also am offended by taxes and are therefore offended by the city's name of "Washington". Can we just call them the "Virginia/Maryland Humans" and call it a day? Actually, "Virginia" kind of resembles "vagina" in its spelling so now I've offended myself and several others.

The mascot "Saints" is also offensive and exclusive of all persons. Organized religion has monopolized granting the "Saint" status to only those of virtue. What the ----? How come I can't be a "Saint"? It's offensive.

Who's idea are these logos/name changes anyway? If it ain't the owner of the Redskins, seems kinda' pointless, IMO ... and anyway, if a Redskin name change gets pushed through, I'm Irish & I want that fricken' leprechaun off the Lucky Charms box, :lol:.

Anyways, if Native Americans are offended so be it. Its not their fault they got wiped out to a point of near extinction by intruders. I hate to see the name changed, but if its a derogatory term I think the want for change is justified. I always thought they were the redskins because of the reddish color of some Native Americans. Evidently i was wrong.

If they change the redskins name then all the other teams, colleges, highschools and any other team named after some form of Native American needs to change their name. Either they all have it or no one does .....

See how stupid that sounds, just like this argument. Why won't this non issue just go away. As long as the owner doesn't care, the name sticks and if you don't like that get a helmet cause life sucks

They've already changed the name of the school where my wife went to college. The Northeast Indians are now the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) Warhawks. It pissed me off.

Unofficially they have, the Colonel has not been their logo for years now. Its just been the red script "Ole Miss". The directors of the school want the change but the student body has to vote on a change and don't want it haha.

At least that's what I've been told by a cousin that is in school there.

I am tired of the term "native American" being used exclusively for indians. My ancestors are not from here but I sure as hell am, and like most people I work and pay taxes. I don't live off of some government trust fund, and I don't leech off of idiots who gamble all their money away at these casino's that certain indians own.

But you know what? There is no law against what Indians are doing, so we just let them be. Why then do the rest of us have to act like we don't belong here, and everything we do requires permission from the "native american" community? I'm not at all hurt by what they do, I simply find those who complain about everything to be hypocritical.

Quit feeling sorry for yourselves over something that never happened to you. Do you realize that long before there were black slaves and Pilgrims vs. Indians, there people of all colors being tortured, enslaved and killed over their faith, lack of wealth, or just because some crazy emperor wanted to entertain himself by pitting humans against ravenous animals?

I don't feel sorry for myself because of what my ancestors went through. Why should anyone else? Get over it.
