This is a sign of the future. The NFL is going to try and take away as much tailgating as they can, because of the individual consumption of food and beverages instead of buying it from the stadium. Notice how they have used the Champions Square thing to increase the perimeter around the Dome, now you can't bring food or beverages from outside in there. Notice how they have been cracking down on the beer sellers and food vendors (second line food truck type guys) in the side streets and areas around the Superdome. It's all about revenue. They have also been making businesses get permits to sell beer etc on game days. The NFL's worst nightmare is somebody in the parking lot with an RV, giving away sausages and beer to friends and fans.
