Patrick Willis could be traded/released
He would definitely be an upgrade
A lot of change has already happened in San Francisco and more could be coming. Sources say that star linebacker Patrick Willis could be shopped to other teams in a trade and also could end up being a cap casualty. Willis missed the final 10 games of the 2014 season with a toe injury. The 49ers feel they have a younger and much cheaper replacement ready to take his place with Chris Borland. With NaVorro Bowman coming back, Willis could be deemed too expensive for a team that is tight against the cap. WalterFootball.com: 2015 Senior Bowl Rumor Mill |

Re: Patrick Willis could be traded/released
Definitely worth it, he'd probably still be out of our price range though
I really hope we go LB early in the draft, denzel perryman is an absolute tackling machine. |

Re: Patrick Willis could be traded/released
I'd faint.
Imagine Willis and Lofton in the middle. Oh my. I doubt we'll spend that sort of cash though, especially since we need a CB, OG, OC, OLB. We'll probably target that 2nd tier type like Keenan Lewis, Jabari Greer, Bunkley, Hawthorn etc... |

He'd probably follow Fangio to Chicago.

Re: Patrick Willis could be traded/released
I guarantee you-Loomis can do it if he wants....we'd have to make a few cuts and some restructuring of a few contracts, but it can definitely happen. He would most likely be the only FA acquisition though.
