It's what happens when you are "trained" to act a certain way; instead of learning the "why" you should act and say (or not say) certain things.
He most likely just let his guard down and said what was on his mind without thinking. |

Of course this is not a big deal and IT IS funny hearing a female attempt to pretend like she understands footballs techniques. That reporter doesnt know the first thing about route running. She has no idea what her question even means. Id love to ask her what she means by embracing the physicality of routes. What does that even mean? You can be physical with the ball or blocking but route running other than releasing from the line isnt very physical at all. Michael Irving embraced the physicality of pushing off in his routes. Is that what she meant?

Don't like the Cam Newton pouty persona, towel over the head thing...
Really didn't like him after his early Freshman offenses at Florida with no consequences... Nor do I care for the talking head media anointing him when he hasn't won a Superbowl... Newton can't hit the side of a barn in a pro-set, though he can chunk it a country mile... That said, I can't be a hypocrite; I thought his statement to be honest, funny, and real... There are far more egregious offenses like (i.e. assault, battery on women) that are worse on my scale... And it seems political correctness has more value to the NFL, NFLPA and the Fat Cat Sponsors - and that really just befuddles me... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

HATING CAM NEWTON In order to hate something, you have to experience the lowest level of human emotions, fear. Since Cam is such a game changer, he is easy for Saints fans to hate because of a fear of him being a game changer. If you say you have no fear of him, then you only dislike him or don't agree with him... BUT CONSIDER... All of us can agree to love Cam Newton. I love to see him lose, suffer and make an A$$ out of himself. LOL In that case I cherish him the most. Cam is a very interesting player whether you like him or not. |

Re: Can Newton Shoulda Put A Sock In It...
The problem with this is I don't think what he said had to have been sexist. It could have definitely been purposely or inadvertently sexist.. yet he could have meant it an entirely different way at the same time. The problem with feminism and the thing that in general annoys me about the movement is that it always assumes the worst when it comes to men, often it could give a **** about equality, and completely neglects the fact that men have their own host of issues as well. I mean there is a legit reason that the male suicide rate is a crap ton higher than that of women... and it has a lot to do with how society is defined and the expectations that are placed. I'm all for female equality, I consent that there are quite a few sexist douchebags in the world. I just feel at times the goal of reaching equality and the actual actions to achieving this don't seem to match at times.
