I'd say more like Marvin Harrison good.

He's old. So is Julio. When the wheels start falling off they fall off quick. 24 months and both will be either retired or playing as the 3rd option.

Brown is a really precise route runner. I don’t think you’ll see him fall off a cliff like that. Julio isn’t as precise, but he’s still extremely proficient. They can be like Larry Fitzgerald and contribute for a long time.

And they will be on losing teams just like Rice and Fitz towards the end. They contribute to losing.

Rice was on that Raiders team that went to the Super Bowl late in his career and went for 1,000 yards in year 17 and 18 of his career.

The Cardinals don’t have a Quarterback. That’s no fault of Fitz. He’s been the consummate professional and loyal to that franchise. He also went for 1,000 yards in 2017, 2016, and 2015. Antonio Brown is of that kind of talent pool.

He and Julio have a lot of good years left. WR isn’t like running back.

AB and Julio will be watching the playoffs on TV. Good players but not good enough. Fitz and Rice are superb route runners. Totally different style of WR's which is what a WR has to have to achieve a long career. Not many have done it. More of a fluke than anything. 31,32 the wheels start coming off.

Agree very much with those first two statements. Here's what Rice, Fitzgerald have in common - they rarely take a plays off, ever. In fact, I'd take Fitz in his prime over the mercurial Randy Moss...

Jones and Brown do when they're not featured or are being used as a decoy for teammates - And neither Julio not Antonio have balled out since after getting the Big Mo contracts...

And that's why I posted, shared the very telling tweet with video of Ryan Clark who revealed to viewers what's really going on - even though Roethlisberger is as much a prima donna a$$hole as well...

And it's what I've talked about the Saints making mistakes giving big contracts to players here who want a big contract and then want even more to actually do something (i.e. Byrd, Armstead)...

Julio has been (thankfully) especially toxic to the Falcons as any contract he signs is only good so long as he's the highest paid receiver in the league (and has enough coin to replace lost diamond earrings)...

So how does a team have a cap management plan to build a winner when you've got a guy hogging up any and all accrued cap space with cap limit inflation?

Glad they're not our problem and hopefully Michael Thomas recognizes this and his ego doesn't get in the way of his practical nature and he gets maximum dollar with the Saints that still allows the team to compete...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I can’t really say Brown hasn’t balled out.

104 catches
1,297 yards
15 TDs

He’s still putting up gaudy numbers. I agree with you about not putting too much money into a WR. I’m not sure how the negotiations with Thomas will go in the future. I hope he wants to stay more than he wants a huge payday.

Buddy of mine is from WV, huge Steelers fan - we watch DVR games of Steelers as he joins us when we go out for Saints games...

He brought Brown's PT effort to my attention and verified it watching the games that when the ball isn't going to him, Brown barely puts effort into the routes...

In so far as Thomas is concerned, he's put up, so should the Saints, but that doesn't mean the contract numbers can't be done to allow the Saints to sign others...
