Re: Browns offense is loaded
I watched them a lot this season and they already had most of the pieces. They might be able to have a good couple of years now. God knows their fans deserve it.

The Browns and Saints in the Superbowl would give a black eye to Goddell and his small market team theory.

Maybe we can pick up more of their scrubs this year.
Didn't Lance Moore begin his career there? | |

Are the Browns becoming Golden State Warriors of the NFL?
On paper, they look like contenders from the AFC North. I'm a big Baker Mayfield fan though. Time will tell. |

Re: Browns offense is loaded
It is official, they are Vegas favorites to win the AFC North.
I think they have a clear shot this year. The AFC North is not all that great.... People love to complain about the AFC East and say that New England has it easy, but I don't see where this is all that different for Pittsburgh. Baltimore finally had their first winning season since 2014 and no one believes in them cause they still don't have a QB. (Flacco was a below average QB after 2012 and the main thing holding them back after winning their last SB). Defense may win championships, but not without an offense that can march down the field. Even if they do have a #1 ranked defense again, it's incredibly rare for those types of teams to win SBs. The 2000 Ravens and 2015 Broncos did it, and couldn't get back the following years. (I do not count the 1985 Bears in this category cause their offensive DVOA numbers were impressive. Their passing offense was above average that year and their offense was legit top 5 material. They didn't just win it all cause of their defense that year.) Cincy has always been a joke. No one believed in them even when they were winning 11 or more games cause we knew they wouldn't go far. Pittsburgh is just begging to implode with their toxic franchise. Tomlin has no control over that team, Ben is old and has always been overrated and that defense really wasn't all that impressive last year. Pittsburgh overachieved in 2017 when they went 13-3 just barely beating bad teams. Last year they looked like a mediocre team which is what they truly were. Pittsburgh has a history under Tomlin of playing down to the competition against bad teams and it caught up to them last year. I think if Cleveland is to make a strike at the division, this is the year to do it. |

Re: Browns offense is loaded
It seems like every year there are a few teams that are "loaded on paper" that don't do squat. You cannot quantify chemistry, and that as we all know plays a major role. So, I guess we'll see.
That said, I'm glad they aren't on our schedule this year! |

Re: Browns offense is loaded
Here’s one of the most important additions they’ve made that doesn’t get recognition: OC Todd Monken. Tampa had the #3 ranked offense in the league last year (and #1 in passing yards) despite constant flip-flopping of QB’s. They are going to light it up.
