Elway gets way too much credit for winning the Peyton Manning sweepstakes. Any GM would get praise for signing a HoF GOAT QB. Denver reminds me of Baltimore from the 2000's. After they won that 2000 SB, they went crazy building defense for years and they still had some legit great defenses through the decade (the 2006 team was a legit SB contender) but rarely did they have a QB worth anything, which came back to haunt them every single time in the playoffs. Defenses may win championships, but rarely without a decent QB. The 2000 Ravens and 2015 Broncos are those rare exceptions where a defense does all the heavy lifting and wins. |

A "Great Draft Guru" once stated:
Paxton Lynch would be 2 years min before he is really ready to play. Connor Cook maybe ready in a year. Nate Sudfeld is an interesting option. I like the kid Kevin Hogan is an option if Nate Sudfeld is. Actually like Hogan more than Nat FOUR SWINGS, FOUR MISSES!!! YOU THINK YOU KNOW BUT YOU DON'T KNOW |
