I'm not sure he's getting Top 15 QB money, nor is he worth it. They're too many mouths to feed there and they're being PC and don't want to throw his play under the bus - hence, he'll leave for the money...

...a situation they've structured that way...

I watched Dak at MISS State and I think he could be a good QB under the right coach, which absolutely is not Jason Garrett. It's a shame he was drafted by Dallas, cause I'd easily root for him had it been an AFC team.

If he was playing under Payton, Reid or any other offensive minded coach who understands what type of QB he is (Gunslinger) and didn't try to make him something he is not, then he could possibly thrive.

Dallas does not run a system where the QB can thrive and develop. It's the 2010s and they are trying to run an offense from the 70's, by focusing on the run and trying to run the ball down everyone, which is backfiring on them badly. I watched a bunch of Cowboys games last year and was taken back at how horrible their play calling is. So many times they are running Elliott right up the middle, then on third down it's a play designed for a screen pass. Dak has looked horrible at times, but I'm not convinced he is the main problem. Any QB would look bad with that offense. Their problem is the red headed guy wearing the head set clapping his hands on the sideline. How Garrett has not been fired yet, is beyond me. I hope Dallas keeps him forever though cause as long as Garrett is coaching them, we have nothing to worry about. They'll never get to the NFC title game with that clown.

Alex Smith looked like a mediocre bust until he went to K.C. and Reid managed to make him into a respectable QB and he had the best season of his career (2017). Vinny Testeverde also comes to mind; people were so quick to label him a bust due to his horrible first years in Tampa, but he managed to have a few great seasons in his 30s and hung around the league long enough to gain respectability. If Dak could hang around and maybe become a journeyman, I think he could have a good year somewhere else.

Jon Kitna was hired as new QB coach for a reason.

Based on some of the past contracts the Jones have signed, I'm sure they'll compensate Dak WAY more than he deserves.

Giants, Redskin and Eagle fans should rejoice.
