Re: Eli Is Benched in NY

Eli has been trash 3 years running.

It's been time for him to have a seat.

Re: Eli Is Benched in NY

There is no way I ever want to see Eli in a Saints uniform.

His PEAK is a mediocre QB. That one last 'good' season he had, was the result of the Giants drafting Odel Beckham. He should've been shipped out before that. The people who argue he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame just cause of 2 playoff runs where he played over his head, are absolutely insane. The Giants needed so many miracles to go their way vs the Pats in 2007 (Multiple dropped INTs and a fluke helmet catch) and then in 2011, he really didn't play all that great in the SB, they had help again (Niners special teams blowing it and Wes Welker's dropped pass that really swung that game to the Giants favor). Joe Flacco also has a fluke SB run.

NY squandered last year's draft when they took a running back over a potential QB of the future. I don't care if Saquan is the next Barry Sanders; running backs are inter-changeable and Sanders' playoff record speaks for itself how far the best RB can get you by himself.

That Ship has long left the Gulf and is sitting on a sand bar on some uncharted
typhoon battered island. However I sometimes wonder if Drew went to Miami and
we were floundering around with QB's and Eli landed back here. Would have been
interesting what Sean and Eli could have put together.

I don't think it would've been interesting. We would've been going 7-9 at best those years with Eli.

He's not that good and has always been profoundly mediocre his entire career. A joke on FootballPerspective is that his floor and ceiling is pretty much being Phil Simms 2.0.

People give him too much credit for being a Manning and having 2 fluke SB rings.
