Re: Faiclowns not re-signing Vic Beasley
Coming out of college, I thought he'd become a force at LB. Same goes for his team mate & Saints Stephone Anthony ...
He (Vic) definitely didn't live up to the "hype" & draft status. |

Re: Faiclowns not re-signing Vic Beasley
I would love this guy in a rotating roll. Would come at a decent price and might become a valuable piece of the D.

Re: Faiclowns not re-signing Vic Beasley
I think he’s been playing out of position. I saw him as a 4-3 DE and they made him a stand up LB’er.

Speaking of linebackers .... his team mate Campbell is a UFA. Big guy with range and solid coverage skills. He had a pretty nice season & is a sideline to sideline guy. IMO he's an upgrade over AJ Klein. Saints need to get faster at the position. Edit - ** De'Vondre Campbell |

Re: Faiclowns not re-signing Vic Beasley
Side bar on Campbell :
January 16, 2020 Campbell and the Falcons have had preliminary talks regarding a potential contract extension, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports. ANALYSIS The 26-year-old linebacker is coming off a career season, and agent Drew Rosenhaus is optimistic about Campbell's outlook for the upcoming free-agency period. "There will be a lot of interest in (Campbell)," Rosenhaus said. "We have had positive dialogue with the Falcons." Campbell has suited up for all 48 of Atlanta's regular-season games over the past three years and in 2019 produced personal bests in tackles (129), tackles for loss (six) and interceptions (two). Atlanta's front office is laying ground work to try and bring back the blossoming Campbell, though it remains to be seen if the cash-strapped team will have sufficient budget to pay up. Atlanta ranks 29th in cap space, and also must consider expiring deals for Austin Hooper and Vic Beasley. Source - > https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=10935 |

Re: Faiclowns not re-signing Vic Beasley
If anything, Beasley has regressed since joining the Falcons as he came out of the gates pretty strong...
So is it the Falcons, Vic, or both? The same could be said about the Saints defensive coaches these past years, Mike Nolan and Ryan Nielsen notwithstanding... |

Re: Faiclowns not re-signing Vic Beasley
He was in that pivotal 5 year.
They are entering cap hell, and he was the logical first cut |
