No. I am not a hypocrite. I did not demonstrate that. You did not corner me to prove your goal.
I am a realist.
I like facts.
Entertainers and pro athletes do things in their jobs and careers that others cannot do.
No one gives applause, praises me, follows me, follows my orders, demands, commands, and more when I show up to work.
This happens to entertainers.
Pro athletes, lets stick to football since we are discussing football, don't have to get fingerprinted, apply, send three references each of professional and personal, get state certified, random urine samples , be careful what they post on social media ( sexist, sexual, racist, anti religious, graphic jokes, just even a picture on vacay in a swimsuit, etc), and yes even personal life in multiple marriages and kids, ehhhhhh....emmmmmmm, not not go over in getting hired or keeping your contract,

None if this applies to entertainers and athletes.
I am not saying I like or agree with their lifestyles, choices , but their line of work is different.
Boowhoo, life is not fair.
As for them kneeling, oh this again. It is so exhausting.
The NFL cannot or a law cannot be made to make them stand up.
Even in colleges and high schools and elementary schools, you cannot make them stand or make them kneel or sit. You pick your battles. This, as the NFL figured out, is an exhausting battle they cannot win.
Do what you want.
Sit, kneel, squat, walk n talk, turn your back....look for all of this to happen.
My only question is if a baller , coach’s staff, other sideline people, want to stand , do they have they right without being called uncooperative, racist, stupid, non- team member, and so on.
I had this discussion with some people as to what they would do if someone , a fellow spectator, in the stadium told them to sit down. I was told they would politely ask , say, “ Did you pay for my ticket.?”
Look for fights in the stadium to happen with some people suggesting to others that they should sit down.

So do surgeons, lawyers, pilots, navy seals, what BS are you selling. Youre completely and utterly ridiculous and idiotic at this point.

A job is a job, some pay more because they require special skillset coupled with high degree of work ethic. At the end of the day its a job.

The degree with which you're posturing is ridiculous. This set of individuals can use their job to do what they want, but you cannot. 😅🤣😂😆 surrreeee

You'd do better just to say hey I don't disagree with kneeling for the flag at sports contests or I can't bring myself to leave football so ill tolerate it. At least one of those would have some F'Ng honesty in it

Your team stinks

You are just an idiot looking for a fight. Sorry, none here from me. You are a waste time. I knew you were going to try to clapback. I answered your question. I throughly explained myself. You throw insults. Fine, throwing them back at you.
Exhausting .
I don’t bother ridiculous people. Ignore my posts as I will gladly ignore yours.

Just try being more honest and less of a hypocrite. Yeah I'm looking for a fight by calling it the way I see it. Youre just mad because you try justifying your stance with utter nonsense

Nothing will change. Go ahead and kneel. Viewership will fall off a cliff just like last time. Sponsorship will decline. Anything associated with the NFL will decline in value.

Please do it. Let's finally settle it once and for all. Want to trash black and white serving this country, trying to instill justice, fairness. Go right ahead. You will lose underestimating Pride in the flag. It ain't perfect, but it is America. Take it or leave it.

well that's just it. Go protest at your local legislative office e, police precinct (which the jags did and i thought was awesome) but using your on the field time to virtue signal is pathetic. Drew brees on the utterly pathetic apology tour and his moron of a wife. And qhy? Scared to death to be protested at his HOF induction and/or lose his after football anoouncer job. God, how pathetic. And it is pathetic because he is saying **** he doesn't actually believe to apoease others.

I agree with this. We are 4 years after the time when Brees could voice his opinion and there'd be no backlash. Now he has to lie to appease the "teammates" that called him out via social media. I hate that he felt the need to apologize for his opinions.

And why are we hearing from his wife at all? Especially since we've never really heard from her before.

--Side note--
I just got back from the store. A guy saw my Saints shirt and asked how I thought the Saints would do this year. I told him that I don't really care anymore.

That sucks.

Yes. That sucks for you. Although, the blame doesn't belong on anyone else. It is solely your decision to let something like that affect your thoughts about a simple form of entertainment. Honestly the vast majority of NFL fans don't care at all. They just want to watch the games.

You're correct that simple form of entertainment does affect me and you'd be lying if you said that it doesn't affect you.

You're incorrect in stating that the majority of fans don't care. Every NFL fan I talk to has something to say about the current state of the NFL. Most agree that the players are becoming insufferable brats.

It does auck, I've been a fan since 1986. And the injection of politics is going to prove to be their undoing. The height of the NFL is gone and its not going to get better. Why do you think Roger is looking for new fans overseas?

What some people don't understand is to support players that make certain comments or statements is to hold your nose and pretend you don't smell the stink. You have to betray yourself and root for people who are wealthy (because of their talent and hardwork ) because of where they live. It is nauseating. If it doesn't bother someone they'll watch and never miss a beat. I can't stomach it. Drew has been my favorite player and I've admired him for his drive and who he was on and off the field. But now I can't even look at him.
