That said, only down 20-30% is far better than most other industries. It appears they will weather it better than most. Thanks for the good news, Beast!
Fantasy football does not require that you do anything but have a computer. The fact that so many people have nothing to do, should mean that fantasy participation is up.

You'll spin anything. I'm convinced someone could set your house on fire and, lest you allow the perpetrator to feel he has won, you'd shout "this isn't a fire... And you just wasted your gas and matches on my house; joke's on you!".

No spin at all, metal. I've been extremely involved with fantasy football for over 25 years. I've been in as many as nine in a single season. Down to three this year including the B&G league. The draft for that league is Monday. Also a member of fantasy football forums and Facebook groups. The fact is that quite a few leagues have taken the year off because of the uncertainty involved. You can choose to believe whatever you wish. I am in a 48 team experts legacy league that only lost one owner this off-season and that was due to personal health issues. Surprisingly we usually have to replace two or three in a normal year. The biggest issue is concerning dues and payouts and how that would be handled if the season is cut short. For some it simply isn't worth the hassle, I suppose.

By the way, my username comes from an old fantasy site called FantasyAsylum.com. We moved to a new site and the username Guido was already taken so I added Asylum to the front to differentiate.

Guido, telling me that you are in 300 fantasy leagues is a non-sequitur to the point I made. There is no reason for "uncertainty" surrounding fantasy football. You don't have to leave your house to play it. And if you sign up, and the season somehow gets canceled, nothing is lost.

You are unilaterally deciding that the reason participation is down is because of uncertainty. I'm calling BS. Because that IS BS. You don't even have to believe that the drop is due to politics. But don't tell me it's because of coronavirus. That's absurd.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
