In a fire sale, I hate to even think what we would actually be offered. And your post made me think. What is we don't get any respectable offer? What will they do with Thomas for the remainder of the season? idk. Anybody else have any ideas?
Are you serious? Do you actually believe these uninformed rumblings?

There is zero possibility of trading Thomas and there is no logical reason to do so. These ridiculous trade supposition articles are published at this time every year with outlandish trade possibilities. It still shocks me that people believe this crap is "actual news".

The tension with MT continued to grow ever since the Brees incident in the offseason. MT has become a disruptive influence in the locker room. A month ago, the Saints put feelers out to see if they could trade MT. I was told this was mainly for the Saints to let Thomas know he was creating problems, needed to be more professional and the Saints were very serious.

Thomas has continued the behavior. As of yesterday, the Saints put MT on the trade block with every intention to trade him. I was also told, "Don't be surprised if he never suits-up in Black and Gold again unless he does a complete turnaround in attitude."

MT could have played last week and definitely this week. There is no injury serious enough to keep him from playing. Coach Payton is keeping him on the bench.

Whether he actually does play some this year for the Saints is doubtful, but if he does, and doesn't change his attitude, he definitely will not be playing for the Saints next year.
It was verified that Thomas' MRI indicated a grade one hamstring sprain which routinely requires one to two weeks of rest to avoid further damage. Sorry, but I think your "insider" is full of crap, especially since PFT and Florio retracted their hinting that the Saints were shopping Thomas hours later.

NFL insider Jay Glazer updates the Saints-Michael Thomas situation

There isnít an NFL insider better connected to the New Orleans Saints than FOX Sports reporter Jay Glazer. Heís a personal friend of Saints coach Sean Payton, joining him on parade floats during Mardi Gras or for a round of golf in the offseason.

Whenever really big Saints news breaks in New Orleans ó like Jimmy Graham getting traded, or Payton signing a long-term contract extension with the Saints, or Pro Bowl guard Andrus Peat getting hurt in training camp ó Glazer is often the first to know. His close relationship with Payton informs his analysis.

And the dominant storyline in New Orleans recently has been friction with star wide receiver Michael Thomas. A Week 1 ankle sprain put him on ice for longer than expected, and that frustration led to a fight in practice and subsequent one-week benching. When Thomas returned after mending fences with his teammates, he suffered a hamstring injury that could sideline him another week.

Glazer shared an update on where things stand between Thomas and his coach. ďHereís the situation: even when he had a hamstring injury, people looked at it a little bit sideways. The truth is, the Saints [performed an MRI], and it did come back with a Grade 1 strain of that hamstring. Which means itís like a one- or two-week injury.Ē

So, as weíve known along: itís a legitimate injury. This isnít a Jalen Ramsey situation where the player was ďinjuredĒ to avoid having to get on the field while interest trade partners worked out a deal. Thomas lives for football and heíll want to join his teammates in games again as soon as possible. The opportunity for him to contribute to wins presents a chance for Thomas to get back in Paytonís good graces.

ďI do think there is still room for Mike Thomas and Sean Payton to get back on the same page here,Ē Glazer continued. ďHis contract is probably too much to trade. There arenít too many teams that can take on that contract. I think the best bet right now is for those two guys to get back on the same page.Ē

Of course, this isnít stopping someone like Mike Florio from speculating for Pro Football Talk. Heís insistent that Thomasís agents have been angling for another team to make a Godfather offer to the Saints in a trade for the embattled superstar, but it hasnít happened yet, and it probably isnít going to happen before the NFL trade deadline.

Sure, things could change after the season. But at this point, Glazerís take seems to be the most realistic. Hopefully Thomas can be cleared to run routes and catch touchdown passes from Drew Brees again soon.

I am hereby letting everyone know that I have submitted the terms "prebreesian" and "postbreesian" for copyright consideration.

That's a great question!

What we heard is that Mike is an extremely emotional guy. That's one of the factors that make him so great, his competitiveness. Could the Saints just stash him till the year is over? What example would that set for the locker room? Personally, I don't want to lose MT.

What kind of question is that? It sounds like something a second rate blog would come up with just to attempt to generate clicks. Let me guess, your reference to "we" leads me to believe that you may yourself be associated with a blog site. Am I correct? And, if so, what site may that be?

Stashing the defending NFC Offensive Player of the Year until the season is over makes as much sense as benching Kamara to save him for next season.

Yes. He was banned for starting incorrect rumors which he is now trying to do here, as well. Here is what was posted by a mod in the thread that got him banned ...

"I know some of you are fed up with him... some of the staff has been fed up with Swimmer for the longest time. I have finally had my fill... and then some."

I knew I recognized the username from somewhere.
