Re: NFL Ratings Decline
That's the ignorant mentality that guides the NFL right now and why they're in steep decline...

Re: NFL Ratings Decline
Yeah, just own it. I took a lot of heat from several on here. Now they want to run and hide. Nowhere to be found and still talking shLt despite the facts.
Really getting tired of this BS and it seems to be a mental condition in this country. Wrong about something but so what. Phuck it. Just keep running your mouth. NO. Not letting you do it Guido. I was 100% right. |

Re: NFL Ratings Decline
Once again, total viewership doesn't drive the revenues. My whole argument was that boycotting watching for the sole purpose of hurting the NFL bottom line was meaningless. A waste of time and negative energy. The NFL remains the #1 broadcasting draw and therefore receives the top advertising dollars ... which continue to climb.
I guess you are spending too much time watching your Hallmark movies to understand that simple economic concept. |

Re: NFL Ratings Decline
These are the numbers (Nielsen Top Ten) that matter to the advertisers and what generates the revenues. Four of the top five and five of the top seven programs were NFL content. The "struggling" Sunday Night Football continues to be the #1 rated broadcast on television.

Re: NFL Ratings Decline
By the way, Thomas Paine (ie. Michael Moore) is as objective as CNN, MSNBC, FOX News, Newsmax, etc. They are all trash.

Re: NFL Ratings Decline
The cap will be affected by lost gate revenues. Broadcast revenues are expected to be up, but not by enough to offset the losses of ticket sales and concessions, etc. So, yes, new contracts will be at lower levels for all but a handful of superstars. They'll still get theirs so the rank and file will take the hit in the short term. With NFL remaining the top rated shows on broadcast television the new network contracts are expected to set new records again this Spring, but it'll most likely be a couple of years before total revenues climb back to last year's record setting numbers.
