Microsoft moving toward cross platform gaming
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12706620/
In a demonstration, an Xbox 360 gamer using Live Anywhere was able to send an invitation to a friend on a PC. After the PC user agreed, the two connected for a cross-platform online gun battle. Okay, that's just sick. Playing against PC opponents on 360? |

RE: Microsoft moving toward cross platform gaming
you'll loose on first person shooters. there are just some things that a keyboard and mouse can do better than a gamepad, sorry.
I'll even put this to a test, if you like, once this feature becomes available. Just summon all those Quake & Quake II skills I had back in the day..... |

I'm on for that. But I read some of the cheats for Elder Scrolls on PC, and it was simple stuff like typing in commands and you level up or get more money, while on 360 you have to work for that stuff. But we'll see. Hopefully they will be able to keep the cheats out. I can;t see myself losing to anyone pushing A, L, Y, spacebar while I have a controller.

dude, i would never admit this in person, and some of my closest friends don't even know this about me, but i was one of a group of four that would make some serious runs at the tournament level in Quake II.....that's how skilled we were. I quit altogether after I left college, so I'm not sure if I can rekindle those skills, but it's gotta be like riding a bicycle.....right? RIGHT???
EDIT: really, it's the mouse that give's the PC players the edge. I would usually set my keyboard up WASD, SPACE, while the mouse controlled the target, scroll button to circulate weapons. I think my favorite weapon was the railgun, once I got accustomed to it shaking slightly, right before it unloaded a round. Potent, and if you had good aim, a very very good weapon..... |
The waiting drove me mad....
I don't want to hear from those that know... Everything has changed, absolutely nothing's changed Eddie is a....draftnik? |

I'm crazy at first person shooter games on PC. I was a beast at counter-strike. PC gamers would kick whoever is on the other side 360 ass. Though like BnB... I quit after college. At least for me that wasn't TOO long ago lol.
