New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival poster features Bo Dollis
 The image of the official poster of the 2015*New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival was released today. It features Big Chief Bo Dollis, who died this morning at age 71. The poster was created by Randy "Frenchy" Frenchette, who is known for live painting during concerts, rendering works quickly. Bo Dollis is the first Mardi Gras Indian chief depicted on an official festival poster since Richard Thomas' image of Monk Boudreaux graced the Congo Square poster in 2006.* [ Subscribe to the comments on this story ] |
