Sun Hotel ? led by songwriter and guitarist Tyler Scurlock with Native America's Ross Farbe and John St. Cyr (also of Woozy) and guitarist Alex Hertz ?*co-founded Community Records' sister label, Chinquapin Records, in 2010. The band
released several well-received singles and EPs*under its self-imposed post-gospel label, a huge-sounding, reverb- and harmony-filled brand of rock 'n' roll that filled concert halls and basement shows in New Orleans' DIY scene and around the U.S.
Rational Expecataions ? the band's first full-length release since 2010's
