this is a discussion within the Pelicans Community Forum; Keep Peja - use him the same way they used Horry. Get a defensive STUD. Go after Arenas?? No way....

Re: Trade David West, Stojakovic
Because he's one dimensional player who takes a billion threes a game? Half of which makes you scratch your head.

I dont know if you guys would agree with me but I think McGrady would fit perfect in NO's offensive scheme. He is leaving Houston soon and he could take a lot of pressure off of CP. The only thing is his health

Re: Trade David West, Stojakovic
Naaaa....he's good...but too much money for a guy who can't stay on the court....but he would help....cant deny that he makes any team better.

Re: Trade David West, Stojakovic
Has he? He's a career 42% shooter with a 37% 3pt shooter. If you chuck up enough shots, you're bound to score some points. Most importantly, he doesn't play any defense.

Re: Trade David West, Stojakovic
IMHO yes...he has....thats my opinion. From what ive seen of him...mostly last season....his D was a lot better....and the Nuggets seemed to think so as well. We need some one who can score...JR...with some good coaching and CP3 behind him could have been that guy.....JMO...like i stated...im no master mind...just call it like i see it!

Re: Trade David West, Stojakovic
The Nuggets have also said he takes some of the most ridiculous shots they've ever seen. There's a reason Aaron Afflalo is starting in front of him. Now I must say, lately, there's been some praise of him having much improved defense. With that said, he had no where to go but up.
For the record, I like JR Smith and I think he definitely could help this team. Remember, one of our most successful seasons here was with Tyson Chandler... whom we dealt Smith to receive. Also, we wouldn't have Okafor if not for trading Chandler. So who would you rather have? Smith or Chandler? Smith or Okafor? 6th man SG or a quality starting Center? That's a no-brainer. |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |

Hornets are screwed for a couple of years until they get better talent (hint...draft better) and better cap situation. Hope it doesn't cost us CP3!
