this is a discussion within the Pelicans Community Forum; I always feel these are short sighted comments about apples and oranges. Heard the exact same arguments on whether to keep the Saints and if the State of LA should put back into the team tax money it already receives ...

Heard the exact same arguments on whether to keep the Saints and if the State of LA should put back into the team tax money it already receives from the New Orleans market. When later learned the NFL presence brings real dollars to the community, these comments become silly. Would the 50K ever reach education? Probably not. Any why always education?
