this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; However, Pelissero reports that contact tracing revealed no high-risk close contacts, and there’s optimism that Clapp’s is just an isolated case. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-for-covid-19/...

How are guys in a meeting room all day together and nobody else is a “high risk contact?” Makes no sense. Maybe they’ve been sitting 6 feet apart and wearing masks at all times but were the RB’s not doing that when Kamara had it?

They're spread out in meetings; plus, they are professional athletes, in good health, eating well, good to great shape, even though they all have unique DNA and immune systems...

So some may say "jeanpierre, what about Kamara?"

Well, to that I'd respond, when you out trawling for, well, dates, even the best immune systems will succumb to viral load; nonetheless, he did recover quickly and I'm sure Alvin and Sean had the talk...

And without getting into Karen-mode, folks with certain types of blood antigens seem to have more trouble with the #WuhanPlague than others...

Just gonna say this...I got Covid just before Thanksgiving. My wife, who's an RN at at a hospital here never got it. None of my 5 kids got it. Not even my baby. When I realized I had it because I lost taste and smell, I got tested. Was positive.

Our whole fam got put on lockdown.

I never wore a mask. None of my family did. I did not isolate in a room. I fed my baby at night and even did the hibidy dibidy with the wife during quarantine.

No one else got it.

Just saying.

It goes without saying that different ppl will have different experiences, but I’ll tell you mine. I never, ever wear a mask, my gf does. She has an autoimmune system disease, Lupus. She works in the medical field, like your wife, and contracted Covid back in July, when FL spiked. We each have our own homes, but she lived with me for the entire two weeks she was quarantined. No masks in my house, she slept on my chest. Sneezed and coughed all over me. I never got it, tested multiple times alongside her, and I’ve even donated blood since to see if I had antibodies, which I do not. Even with her weakened immune system, and inability to shed it as quickly as others, it was just a bad cold, she said not even as bad as the flu, her headaches were very bad, but other than that..., a cold.

Re: Saints’ Will Clapp tests positive for COVID-19

My wife currently has Covid and we are both isolating, we both work for the NHS.

The one thing that has continually stood out is just how drained its made her feel and how much she's sleeping. Not helped by the fact she can't keep food down, so just trying to keep fluids up and get her eating little bits whenever she feels up to it.

She explained a really bad headache, as did my dad when he had it. Just the main thing for her is how it's kind of knocked the wind out of her and how lethargic she is feeling.

Prayers for your wife, you and your family. Be nice when we get a handle on this thing.

Thanks buddy, agreed. I'm not one for politics, but how its been handled here in the UK is outrageous.

The unfortunate part is a lot of people don't understand or don't care that it isn't the "oh you're young, you'll get over it" that's the issue, it's the fact that you can unknowingly pass it to someone thats medically unsafe.

Our government have flip flopped that much on rules, that people now just do what they want without any regard. Truly frustrating time.

I just lost another person to Covid. I'm glad that those of you with excellent health didn't catch it. I know people who are dying left and right from exposure and we need to be safer.

The problem is that your stories inspire others to not wear masks though. It is the #1 killer in the US now. I'm a cancer survivor and this **** scares me.

I'm 61 and it may be my time to go but I don't want to let someone not wearing a mask determine my future.....or lack of a future.
