The offense looks boring as hell. Only time you see energy is on a trick play or when Hill comes in.

I love Brees and I truly appreciate all the things he has done for the team, state, and fans in general but he has brought this offense to a crawl. There is only so much you can do within 5-10 yard of the line of scrimmage.

I’m actually excited to see what SP can do if we open the offense up.

Was it Brees' inability to push the ball downfield, or is Payton getting outcoached in the playoffs?

Considering in 2018 we almost lost to the Eagles, the only reason we won is because Jeffrey popped an easy pass in the air.

Last week vs Chicago, we were 1 dropped TD away from going into the half losing.

This team has no fire in the playoffs, they just all look lethargic, like they don't care.
I think past playoff experiences haunt them. Some how this stigma has to be washed away. I think it will take a new group

I'm a Saints fan. I will always be a Saints fan. But when Brees retires, I am done watching the NFL. I will not sit around and watch Brady outlast Brees and taking his records.

Yeah, but we were not playing Brady. And when defenses have all offseason to gameplan for a different QB, it's a whole other ballgame.

Going to make one point here, because others have summed up most of the thoughts already.

Drew Brees has held this team back for 2 years (potentially 3). If I had to rate Drew as a QB when just looking at the last 2 years, he would be in the bottom 10 of the league.

Yes, replacing Drew when he was prime Drew will not be possible. However, Drew hasn’t played at elite levels in years. I actually believe that both Winston or Hill would be upgrades compared to the current Brees we see.

Going forward our cap situation is more of a concern than not having Drew.

The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.

I didn’t see team chemistry and comradary that I’ve seen in years past.

I think that was mainly due to COVID-19 restrictions. This was the best defense I’ve watched in a long time. All the years we beat on the defense and now the offense let us down.

That’s what hurts me the most about this season. This was honestly the first year I felt going in at the start that the offense was going to be an issue and it surely was.

I had reservations about this defense. In the regular season they start sloppy and finish strong but lapses during the playoffs. This defense is the best the saints have fielded in the Payton/Brees era. Outside the points off turnovers they only gave up 9 points. Evans, Godwin, Gronk, and Brown were all held in check. That’s saying something.

At the elite level of football, you don't win turning over the ball that many times in a playoff game. Once some of you go back and review the film, you'll see how bad Alex Anzalone really is in coverage. If Kwon doesn't return, go find a replacement because Anzalone isn't good enough. Anyone see Devin White at LB ? We need to consider bringing back Mike Nolan and develop more talent at linebacker.

Drew Brees is pretty much done playing. Time to see what we have in Jameis Winston. He's had a complete season in this offense, so I'd like to see what he can do.

I thought Lattimore and Jenkins played well.

This team made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs, something a lot of squads weren't able to do. We can only have one winner but losing sucks.

The playoffs are a different animal, I'm not even mad.
Agree with all this except the Jameis part; Tom Brady just took Jameis team into the playoffs and beat the Saints at home that had swept them during the regular season...

We've seen what Jameis is in this league for five-plus seasons...

Everyone, and I get it, is judging Taysom against Brees career; well, can we see Taysom over the course of a season?

Can we give the guy more than a handful of games to acclimate to the NFL?

Even Brees was benched a couple of times before he got clicking as a veteran free agent with the Saints...

To be really honest, I'd hoped we ride with Taysom this season, felt Drew just didn't have the stamina to play 16 and a tournament...

And if Taysom were awful, the resultant record would have put us in a better position to grab a franchise QB in the draft...
